The Waratah Quilt by Neve Gear is designed to be extremely versatile in various weather conditions. On warm nights, it can be opened up like a blanket to allow for better ventilation and breathability. On colder nights, it can be adjusted using a 1/4 length zipper footbox and draft collar to provide more insulation by cinching it closed.

The adjustable footbox is a feature that allows you to regulate the amount of warmth and insulation around your feet. This can be particularly useful when dealing with temperature fluctuations during the night.

A differential cut is when the outer fabric is wider than the inner fabric which gives the quilt more wrap around for better draft protection and more warmth

Neck and Footbox Draft Collars

The neck and footbox draft collars add extra warmth and seal out drafts such as from the small hole left after cinching the footbox

Pad Straps

Pad attachment system using elastic straps and clips on each side of the quilt to keep it secure on a sleeping pad and lock out drafts on cold nights.

Snaps & Drawcord

Snap and drawcord neck closure located at the top of the quilt add extra warmth

Very Lightweight

Very well built and warmer than you'd expect a 4 degree quilt to be which is necessary for an ultra high fill power quilt. My only extremely minor complaint is that they included a stuff sack but I would've preffered a compression sack instead.

Very warm. Tested down to 8 degrees

I’ve had a couple of nights out with my new quilt and when matched with an Alton thermal inflatable mat have found it generally quite warm.
Had to do some playing with the straps to get the right positioning and tension over the quilt. As I’m a side sleeper I had to have the clips further towards the outside of the mat to give me the room required to easily roll.
The only time I felt cool was when the wind came up. As I was under a tarp not in a tent this was more a problem with my tarp setup not the quilt, but is good to be aware that the quilt will not stop the wind from taking your heat away.

The quilt looks well made and so far the only concern I’ve got is about the robustness of where the mat strap clips are attached to the quilt is only to the outer cover and I’m a little nervous how these would stand up to being tugged on during a restless night.
