Lisa Pinder created Ultralight Hiker in 2019 as a way to share her love for the outdoors with others, and for 4 years, ran everything herself. As the store grew and the work load grew each day she decided that it was best to exit for her own personal wellbeing. 

That's where we come in, Ryan, Daniel and myself (Jarrod) are all passionate 20-year-olds who have turned our love for hiking into a mission to revolutionise the Australian hiking scene. As avid hikers ourselves, we’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of ultralight gear.

We understand the love-hate relationship hikers have with their gear and the freedom that comes from shedding unnecessary weight.

As life has gotten busier, we’ve found it challenging to get out and explore the great outdoors as often as we’d like. This is why we’ve decided to pour our energy and enthusiasm into this business.

Our goal is simple: to bring ultralight hiking to the forefront of Australian hiking. We believe that everyone should have access to high-quality gear that makes every adventure more enjoyable and less burdensome. That’s why we’re committed to providing the best ultralight hiking gear.
