The  NU25 UL 400 Lumens Ultralight Rechargeable Headlamp from Nitecore, is a lightweight with a dual beam and USB-C rechargeable lamp, Both spotlight and floodlight are primary light to achieve a perfect combination of a long distance throw and flood beam.

The NITECORE NU25 UL is our new member of the NU Series — Dual Beam USB-C Rechargeable Headlamp. Upgraded on the output, light beam, charging port and operation, it can provide a lighter and better experience for users. The NU25 UL is available with 3 light sources to produce a max output of 400 lumens while the spotlight and floodlight are both primary lights, achieving a perfect combination of long distance throw and flood beam.

Utilizing a unibody optical lens system with a light transmission of over 94% and high performance LEDs, it is specially designed for reflecting a uniform and soft light ideal for night running and route finding.

The NU25 UL weighs 45g (1.59 oz). The NITECORE NU25 UL is made from lightweight PC material and equipped with hollow brackets. And the NU25 UL comes with an ultra lightweight headband in order to ease the burden.

Built-in 650mAh Li-ion battery, the NU25 UL is available with USB-C input and cycle charging, which can reduce the discard of 900+ AAA batteries over a battery life cycle.

Apart from the Lockout Mode to prevent accidental activation, the NU25 UL is one-hand operable to control the beam and show the remaining battery power. The NU25 UL is all weather applicable as IP66 rated.

Best ultra lightweight headlamp

This is close to perfect for it's size and weight. Extremely efficient. I use this for hiking and trail running in the dark. The light is strong enough and not too harsh like some headlamps. I mostly use the medium setting and get well over 4 hours of useable light. On high setting I get more than 2.5 hours.
Very comfortable to wear. You can't notice it's there. I was amazed at how cheap it was on Ultralight hiker too. This is so perfect for hiking in the dark or trail running. Uses the modern USB C. to charge which is very helpful.

I bought this light at the same time I bought a Petzl Bindi from Ultralight Hiker. Both are very similar. The Bindi is a little bit smaller and lighter at 35 grams but to me there is not really a noticeable difference in weight. The Bindi is a great light and ideal as an emergency headlamp but not quite as bright as the NU25.

Nitecore NU25 UL 400 Lumens

Great service from Ultralight hiker as always! As for the headlamp it is overly complicated with too many functions you have to 'scrol' through to get to the function you want. Sometime you just want to press and go...this is not that headlamp. Additionally its very hard to turn it off/on and get the setting you want while it is on your head - you have to remove it, which sucks. I'm a simple man though...

Great product, one flaw

I love this headtorch, It’s light (pardon the pun) and bright as you could possibly need for daily use.

My partner had the older model and that was epic too. Unfortunately the older model seemed to have two red-light intensities which was immensely useful and no longer featured. My only other gripe is you can’t turn-on, directly to red-light mode. Although there is a ‘ultra low light’ mode you can enter and enable red light from there.
