Osprey Tempest Velocity 30 Women's Hiking Pack

I bought this for a multiday adventure race. It's light, and the fabric seems sturdy. The top opens easily with a drawstring but would have preferred a buckle closer on the flap over the hook system. The zippers on the hip pockets were unusable during the race which is disappointing out of the box. They're too stiff to operate with one hand and pockets are too far behind to brace with the opposite hand. I'll try some zipper lube and see if that fixes it. The side pockets are too deep to access while wearing but there is side access too. You need to pack carefully though to ensure you can grab what you need through the side. Stuff them too full and the whole pack has to come off to get food. The front pockets on the harness are great though and bigger than most I've seen. A stretch to say an AR pack but a very capable pack for moving fast hiking. Would be improved if the padding was removable to make a temporary sleep pad.

So comfortable and light. Love the accessibility of the front pockets. This backpack has everything you need for adventure
