Sawyer Micro Water Filter
Enjoy clean and safe drinking water wherever you roam with the ultra-compact, lightweight, reusable Sawyer Micro Squeeze Water Filter System — from backcountry adventures to everyday office work, domestic and international travel to emergency prepping.
With a total weight of 56g, this tiny filter fits in the palm of your hand. While small in size, the powerful Micro Squeeze removes 99.99999% of bacteria (salmonella, cholera and E. coli) and 99.9999% of protozoa (cryptosporidium and giardia) — exceeding EPA recommendations for removal rates.
Attach the Micro Squeeze to the included drinking pouch, use the included straw to drink directly from your water source, connect it to your hydration pack tubing, or screw it onto standard disposable bottles (28mm thread). Made of a strong, softer material, the included 1 litre Squeeze Pouch is half the weight of the standard 1 litre Sawyer Squeeze Pouch and features a redesigned gusset for easy filling and stability.
The Sawyer Micro Squeeze is rated up to 100,000 gallons. It comes with a 1 litre reusable squeeze pouch, drinking straw, cleaning coupling, spare gasket, and cleaning plunger.
Great for outdoor recreation, hiking, camping, scouting, domestic and international travel, and emergency preparedness, the Sawyer Micro Squeeze Filter gives you a variety of ways to access clean water. Simply fill up the included reusable pouch at any water source, screw the filter onto the pouch, and drink directly from the filter or squeeze water into a water bottle. For even more versatility, screw the filter onto most standard disposable water or soda bottles.

How it Works:
0.1 Micron Absolute Filtration
The Sawyere Micro Squeeze contains a high number of tiny ‘U’ shaped hollow fiber micro-tubes that trap contaminants while allowing decontaminated water to freely pass through at a high flow rate — eliminating the need to store water and reducing the possibility of water contamination after the filtration process.
The Micro Squeeze is certified for 0.1 micron filtration, meaning there is no pore size larger than 0.1 micron in size. This makes it impossible for harmful bacteria (like salmonella), protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi to pass through the filter. All Sawyer water filters meet or exceed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended removal rates.
The Micro Squeeze’s filtering membranes are sturdy enough to withstand backwashing using the included syringe, restoring up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate each time you clean it. The Micro Squeeze can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely with no expensive cartridges to replace… ever. We recommend backwashing and sanitizing the filter after every outing for optimized use.

Pair it up with a Cnoc 2L Vecto water bladder
Works well, decent flow rate. I used the filter on a recent Snowy Mountains hike. I used the filter screwed directly onto my 1L water bottle which I filled in local streams and drank directly from the filter. To do this, the bottle needs to be squeezable in order to create pressure. I also used it similarly to squeeze water into my pot for cooking.
I (stupidly probably) tried to connect two disposable PET bottles with the filter in between one with dirty water and the other empty. While you can get this work, between letting air into the source bottle and letting pressure out of the destination bottle, it's a bit slow. The trick would be to use collapsable bottles on both sides for this to work.
Just used thId product on a 7 day alpine bushwalk. It Is light, easy to use and has great flow rate. Peace of mind in the bush.
I had the mini before and had to suck to get water out but this new and improved mirco is just like a pop top! Love it.
This little guy has a great flow rate for cleaning running streams and rivers, have heard it can block up quite quickly if filtering dirtier water more often, but for my use it is perfect! Considering a second to replace a mini I have in another bag.
This little filter is fantastic. Lightweight, easy to use and water tastes clean and clear after filtering.
However, the CNOC bag is a must if you're filtering a lot of water. The included bag is really slow to fill with water. It'd be 4 stars if the included bag was your only option but the CNOC bag means you can scoop 2 litres of water in seconds and then you simply squeeze it where ever you want! Into your mouth, into a bottle, the power is yours.
