The first section of the Grampians Peaks Trail in Victoria has been open for a while now and there has been lots of anticipation around the opening of the other 2 sections. A friend and I were keen to get the first section done and it certainly didn't disappoint. Australia has some amazing hiking trails to choose from and when I decided it was time for my first solo hike, choosing the destination was the hard part. I finally settled on Victoria's Great Ocean Walk. Starting at Elliot Ridge, I spent 5 days hiking along the Great Ocean Walk to Devils Kitchen.

The Mitchell River Walking Trail is a 21-kilometre Grade 4 trail that has everything from beautiful rainforest gullies to stunning views from its various lookout points. It's usually hiked as a one way trail over 2-3 days but I had only one night up my sleeve.

It was such a beautiful winters day that I decided to jump in the car and take my little pooch on an adventure. The Merricks – Red Hill Rail Trail is an easy 14 km Grade 3 hike where you pass thru the peaceful rural areas of the Mornington Peninsula. Starting from Merricks General Store, you can park the car, pick up a coffee from the Art Gallery Verandah Café and head off toward the Equestrian Centre to find the start of the trail.

A 3 day circuit hiking the South Eastern Circuit of Wilson's Prom National Park. From Telegraph Saddle heading south via Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove, Little Waterloo Bay, Little Oberon Bay, Tidal River.
We started out on Dec 7th - it was 38c when we hopped out of the car and began .....Arrrrhhh it was a hard slog in that heat but it was so stunning. Check out the trip Vlog.
